Eels Cd Design
Year: 2004
Objective: Design the inside pamphlet, u-card backing and CD for the Eels Electro-Shock Blues CD.
Solution: The album was about the musician's sister dying. I created the cover in photoshop manipulating an image of light trails. Leaving the aperature open on a digital camera and waving it by a cluster of lights I acheived this affect. The image leaves a poetic effect on the viewer. Then took the paintbrush and added color to the image ranging color pallates by season from spring to winter. The idea is: seasons change as life changes. People live, and then they die.
